Windows Phone 7 NoDo update delayed until late March

The long awaited NoDo update for Windows Phone 7 has been delayed until late March.  Originally rumoured to be coming out in January, Microsoft never mentioned a specific timeframe until Mobile World Congress, when Steve Ballmer said early March with an expectation that it would roll out March 8th.  The update, which adds copy/paste, some performance tweaks and CDMA support, has been rumoured to be ready to go since early January on Microsoft’s end.  A variety of issues appear have be involved with holding it back, including carrier delays and some Samsung devices failing after the pre-update was launched recently.  All of this seems to have convinced Microsoft to hold off until the week of March 21st.

It’s interesting to note that in some regions, phones from Dell and HTC already have the NoDo update installed, which lends some credence to the “ready since January” rumor.
